An possible option. fit a alu bracket made from 1.2-1.6 alu angel in one end and a tee or blind nut on a ply support in the other end
attached some pdf files as it was done on my Nimbus glider, I used M4 socket head bolts that are permanent in the t-nut, with a small hole in the ply plaking for access with the allan key. On the Ikarus one bracket per joint will do. The Nimbus has twoper wing because of its size
the access hole can be on top or bottom of the wing.
attached some pdf files to make it all clear, see fuse drawing section F-F for the t-nut arrangement. On the M4 bolts a large diameter washer takes care of sufficient contact area. because it is a glider no locking of bolts is required due to lack of engine vibration.

Internal elastic bands on hooks is also an option but a bit difficult to fit on the field

I hope this helps

Steve,

Below is the method I used to retain the outer wing panels on my Skylark. It is simple, effective and quick to rig and has never failed (never come loose).

A dural block that takes a formed 8 guage piano wire insert - the forming being a simple tapered face milled onto one side of it; the rod then held tight with a 3mm socket head threaded into the block. I'm sure the photos explain it all. When assembled the socket head sits just below the wing top surface.

It would be nice to claim credit for this idea but that belongs to our member Stuart Ward from New Zealand who's efforts were somewhat more refined than mine (see below).

Thanks for getting back to me with such nice detail. I will spend some time going over each method as they both look great.

Have a great day guys.

Is this just my end?

Thanks in Advance Jilles

Kind Regards
