just had the first flight with my winter project , HF Models ASW 28 with a Wren 44 turbine .
I got the model for a very good price and required lots of tlc including finding and fitting a new canopy new servos some structural work to the wings and a fresh coat of paint .
Looking forward to some better weather for further test flights.

Re: HF Models ASw 28 turbine
Geoff,
thanks I enjoyed re building it , the canopy was a challenge as it arrived 4 cm too short so I spent ages building a new frame from glass and balsa , carbon tows etc .The other issue was fitting a fuel tank as its got a retract that happens to be in the way of the perfect tank location , I ended up making my own conformal tank that sits just about on the c of g and enabled a full depth cockpit .
best thing its cheaper than a fancy EDF and more fun than waiting for a tug to show up ???
