SDZ-8 JAKOLSKA 1/3
Re: SDZ-8 JAKOLSKA 1/3
Hi all finally got round to doing some more to the model, finished the rudder now giving the fin some attention, I haven't stuck to the plan in places but this is what a first build is about, I hope you dont mind Jilles.

Re: SDZ-8 JAKOLSKA 1/3
No problem if you make changes as you see fit. My designs give the general construction details and parts. Builders have their own preferences how things are done. Nothing wrong with it as long as they do not compromise the strength of the basic structure.
These model are large and sometimes heavy, In my view we have a duty of care to make them as safe as possible so they are not a danger to our surroundings.
Going cheap on equipment is a no no. If have seen expensive models with a cheap receiver with reduced range or servo's going bust because of that.

Might be worth at this stage making provision in the rudder for the tail light

Hi Keith,
Great to follow your build thread, pictures are worth a thousand words.
I built my Jaskolka in 1992 from Johns original plans, but John asked me to build the SDZ-8 ` BIS' version which has a different nose profile, one which isn't modelled, or I haven't seen one. ( photo of mine in flight)
Keep up the good work.
