The steel and brass are products supplied by Aeronaut as I understand it... They must supply to the continent

Re: TYPE 13 PETREL 1/4 SCALE
. i’m working my way through the second wing of the 1/5 build. i have just noticed that there is balsa sheet spanning one rib each side of the gull break in this build. This does not appear on the 1/5 plan. Now thinking if i should sheet this area too as it probably stiffens the structure. Any recommendations?

My recommendation would be yes. As well as strengthening the structure, the covering will look neater too.

Hmmm, looks like an omission at the magazine end: my original drawing shows the gull section fully sheeted. Have I sent you the complete build pic sequence: it shows clearly enough on there?

Chris/Trevor
My current plan is to use heat covering for wings and fuselage. but
not really used car filler before. is it best painted or does it take covering ok? i have tested a small area and seems to adhere but also had to be careful as the heat appeared to lift the filler where it was really thin. just wondering about longer term issues.
thanks areas most affected are the nose and wing fairings.

Re: TYPE 13 PETREL 1/4 SCALE
As you know, Andy, I cover my fuselages with 'Tex and 2K prime the areas you mention. 'Tex needs a higher temperature than film, and that doesn't affect the filler, but for further piece of mind, thin CA over the edges should seal it all off...
