Building with magnets.

Post by Max Wright »

This is my first "proper" build, so I thought I'd have a go with magnets.

First, an MDF 16 mm board 2 metres x 600 mm.

Then covered it with a piece of 0.06 mm zincalume.

I ordered my magnet set from Airfield Models.

Next I have to varnish the wooden parts of the set and assemble them.

That's for tomorrow.

1 Magnetic fixture system II set, large, Birch and plywood. US$275.00
Shipping US$86.40
Total US$361.40

Total A$533.16
Payment by Western Union A$50.00
Total A$583.16

Total British Pounds £325.95

So, here they are assembled to check that everything is there . . .

There is only one problem with them - they are too wide to fit between the ribs on the Falke. :o

I'm guessing that I will have to unbolt the magnets and use them on their own. :?
