Gloster Meteor F3 for PSS

Post by Andy.Meade »

After seeing a large turbine powered Meatbox at an LMA show at Gaydon, I knew I had to get one on the slope. This is my own design all in balsa and ply, other than the engine nacelles which are 3D printed shells. She flies a treat, and is a pussycat to land with the flaps. 69" span, glassed then sprayed in acrylics.

That looks fab Andy. The outlines look very scale.

Which wing section did you use and what’s the flying weight?

I wish I could remember! It is written inside somewhere - 8lb I seem to remember, blessed short noses and long tails! Wing section was the evergreen Eppler 374.

Thanks both for the comments.
