It was a Whitesheet "Open slope" day yesterday and while not totally scale by nature of its "open" name, there were a good few scale models flown.
Wx was mixed, with sun / fluffy clouds, over cast and even a few spots of rain at times. The wind however, was consistently over 10knts and WSW/SW with gusts to blow your hat off at times.
Here's Marcus energetically launching my PT PIK-20 in a sunny spell...
And then later, his 3m Pilatus B4 being launched into a hat removing gust/squall ... (not sure who the crew is, but thanks!)
Also got some stick time on my Alpina CS, only my 3rd and 4th flights with it, so still getting a feel for it.
Thanks again Whitesheet, you always put on a good show for your opens! Bacon butty on arrival was particularly welcome after 80 miles on the 303!
