Next up: a 1/4 scale version of the oldest surviving Minimoa HB-282. The principal differences are:

1: Lowered dihedral
2: Smaller rudder
3: Schempp-Hirth style upper & lower airbrakes
4: Blown canopy

The plan will be suitably modified for anyone wishing to build this variant...

The modified rudder is quite straightforward...

In a bit of a quandary regarding the canopy. My nr. 3rd scale version had the scale brass tubing framework, but it had to be retained with non-scale brass hinges. As I'm reluctant to give up the practical benefits of magnet-retention, I've opted for a wooden frame instead. The good new is...the Skylark canopy has come trumps again!

The laminated canopy frame seems to have worked out OK in the end. This is about as far as I can go now until a new Skylark canopy arrives (I made a bog of the last one!)
