Has anyone experimented with LI-Ion instead of LIPO motor batteries?
I know Florian Schambeck makes a 11S 9000 mAh to order here: https://www.schambeck-luftsporttechnik. ... 9000mAh-PP
The idea is for a safer, longer lasting pack with better discharge characteristics.
Any thoughts?

I'd think there are deals about, but £450 will get you 54v 9000mah, so you're paying another £400 plus for the convenience of a the pack and balance connector. Dewalt batteries would need the cases partially removing and sockets made/ adapted, but still...

Cheers Elliot,
I’ve also found some videos on how to create your own packs, including putting fuses between cells and a bus bar.

This video seems to cover the DEWALT Flexxpack producing 18v or 54v which you might f8nd interesting if going down the route of using those packs.

Fellas, if I were to make my own packs, I'd probably weld them using a capacitor welder (DIY).
