Outside my workshop just now I noticed that the hum of my Makita had been joined by another electric motor above. Looking up I saw the unmistakeable curved wings of an Alisport Silent 2 Electro.
For a sailplane geek like me this was a big moment - spotting my first electric glider above our home.

It’s a pretty thing with model-like proportions and is unbelievably quiet. The pilot just switched his motor on a few seconds ago and it’s barely audible.
