Hi, My name is Mark. I joined this forum last week after I went to my first Aero Tow meeting at Firs Farm.
One of my fellow club members is into aero towing and has been going to various meetings. I was very impressed with the vintage gliders he builds and flies so now I have my own, a Kirby Gull.
I started rc flying as a teenager in the 1970s. Mainly thermal gliders like the Phase Lift and Graupner Cirrus. I gave it up when I started work. In the 1990s I briefly dabbled again, but then other priorities crept in again. Also I found it hard to connect with my local club.
Now retired, I have the time to go and play with big boy toy aeroplanes again.
I love flying and building as much as I enjoy the company and camaraderie of fellow club mates.
