The Horton flies.
It was flown from the slope unpowered.
C.O.G. as drawn by Jilles seams to be in the optinum postition.
It has a great presence inthe air and because of its size appears to be travelling fairly slowly but has a good turn of speed.
Full coupled flaps and ailerons were used as elevons, which worked well.
The rudder drag breaks/spoilers enhance turns when coupled, but only have a small effect by themselves.
It will stall, with a pre sluggish control warning, and spin which can be instantly recovered with down elevator.
It has survived the first flight and now to exlore the powered flight.

What a great project and a successful conclusion. Also, how brave to maiden it out over the sea!
