Re: KITE 2a 3.9 SCALE
Chris, can I ask, is it a film or a "tex" covering material that you are using on the flying surfaces?

In this case, Brian, the flying surfaces are covered with HK film, and fuselage Solartex and paint...

Re: KITE 2a 3.9 SCALE
Chris, I have a vintage project lined up and it will require a linen finish with occasional splashes of paint. I would like the finish on the wing/tail to be translucent but not transparent. I had thought of using Diatex - what do you think?

Re: KITE 2a 3.9 SCALE
Can't really speak to that Brian, as I have only ever used Solartex for that purpose. (Down to my last two rolls!)

Re: KITE 2a 3.9 SCALE
I think I will have to build a test piece and try out various materials and finishes in order to get the look I want.
Thanks for the help.
