Morning
With callow being out of action, where are the fellow callow slopers flying now ?
I don't mind driving a reasonable distance from Doncaster to a good slope, if the wind is right for it

Hi
I've considered leek and moorlands, but the 70 mile drive each way to find no wind or wrong direction puts me off going there

Temporary Closure

The Tennant is entitled to close Open Access land for up to 28 days in accordance with the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 for land management purposes.

He has now posted a notice on the gate at Callow Bank the following closure dates:

May 26th and 27th

June 1,2,3,13,14,15,16,17

To maintain a strong position the club would like everyone to adhere to this closure.

Evening
I flew off callow last Thursday with some other members of SSA
Launch point was off the slope just before the south slope overlooking the westerly valley , landing near to the original landing zone
Lift wasn't brilliant with the NW wind
Weather permitting I'm planning a trip out to Leek tomorrow
Regards

Had a cracking day there yesterday with 30 mph winds. Flew around the poles. I do not know what walkers in the area think, the farmer has made the place look like no mans land on the Somme.
