I have made a smaller 1/6 scale version from the old Radio Modeller Plans Service designed by Gordon Waite. The span is 131ins. It flies well and thermals easily. I have had it for a long time and am contemplating fitting it out for aero tow with a wheeled dolly for launching.

So it is a good concept and bigger will be better if you can transport and handle it. The centre section will have a very large chord and be bulky - no trouble for John but is an issue to consider if you have smaller transport.

Nice to see one built and in the air at MW though. Go on John..... you know you want to. Just get the Storch finished.

Richard.

I don't think it would make a very good tug Barry. I think I will stick with the Greenleys for towing duties !!!?

Are we going to get a build blog on here? I was quite tempted but have got some other models I need to finish first!
