With the lower sheeting added in two sections, preparations are made before adding the top sheeting, which will be in three parts. The centre sheeting spans the gull break and is forced into a compound curve to preserve a smooth transition around the bend...

The most critical part of the wing construction: adding the top sheeting locks the wing into its final shape...

We usually cut a hole in the wing root, on the field, just before the maiden.
