i tried to load 2.3.2, on open tx , but it would only let me load , .5 for some reason , any ideas is it safe to go to .5 and download to radio ?

Yes, but you need to download the sdcard files as well.

do you mean download too sd card or from sd card

Download sd card contents and save to the sdcard in the TX. You may well be better off going back to Futaba!!

after spending so much time and cash
i want to stick with this now

neighbour should be able to help , so should i be on .5 now ?
i’m sure i can do do it , just being a drama queen , but love the radio and actually got used to it now .
just not been able to do anything over last 6/7 weeks , so i’m still on .2
i presume it will still work on that ?.

Yes, it will still work. You are not a pain at all, It's frustrating for me as I find these things quite easy.

i think i will once i get into it properly , think just fear of unknown
worst that can happen , is i start again
i’m enjoying (believe it or not ) the learning curve
and when i hold futaba it feels half the radio
i’m just going to go for it
