Ghost Squadron Flying camp Binham 2020

Post by john greenfield »

Hi all

The Ghost Squadron has been discussing the possibility of holding a Binham flying camp in 2020 subject of course to the Govt allowing camping to take place. We are very fortunate that we have total control of the site at Binham so it purely our decision to hold the meeting or not and we are all keen to run it if the Govt allows. I know some of you have already entered and sent your deposits but we just wanted to let all the regular attendees know that it is still our intention to run the meeting on the original dates proposed for this year of 29th July to 5th August (which you will recall moved from the normal week due to the GPS World Masters, which has now been canceled!!!). There is an option to move back to the normal week or even another date completely if the Govt delay in allowing camping so, for this reason, we have decided not to take any more deposits for this year's events but would just ask for you to email or PM John if you would like to reserve a place. Charges for the week will remain as advertised but we will only ask for payment on arrival. For those of you who have already sent deposits, you have the option of leaving it in place and just paying the balance on arrival or we would be happy to refund it and just pay on arrival like everyone else.

We are carefully watching the Govt advice and will post another message as soon as we have some clarity on the lifting of the camping restriction which is the only thing stopping us confirming the event at this time.

Obviously, even if camping restrictions are lifted we will all still have to be careful to observe social distancing but in a controlled environment such as Binham and with everyone in their own accommodation this should not be much of an issue to manage.

We will of course also welcome day visitors for those of you who don't camp.

We hope you have all been keeping safe during this difficult time and the team looks forward to meeting you all soon.

The Ghost Squadron.
