Sign vinyl

Hello!
I need to recover my antique Let models ASH26, I’ve used sign vinyl on another model with a complex wing to great success, but found it a little thin - the blue underneath was fine but the white top layer showed imperfections in the surface of the wood.
Anyone got any info for suitable thicker materials?
