Hello friends. Thank you for allowing me to join the group — again😉
I joined early on(late 90’s I believe), and actually provided a short article on tow releases to the forum which may still be buried somewhere in the appropriate section.
I haven’t been very active on any of the forums of late and I never bothered to re-register after this site was hacked awhile back. I’ve since retired, moved back to the northern Gulf Coast in Alabama, USA, built myself a proper shop and I’m deciding on a project for the winter. I’ve had all manner of large scale sailplanes through the years, mostly glass moldies, but I’m finding my interest is turning more towards what I’ll call transitional style sailplanes from the late 50’s-60’s. My career was in furniture manufacturing/design so the wooden aspects of the sailplanes of the mentioned time period speak to me. Too, the eyes and reflexes are getting weak and slow so the slower, less technical demands of the transitional styles suit me better.
Anyway as they say, too much information, so thanks and I look forward to seeing what everyone is up to.
