Hi Rob

Either day would be fine, which ever suits you best as the format of the event is the same on both days. I am assuming your model has a tow release fitted, It is normal for the glider pilot to supply a "loop" that fits into your tow release and has a loop on the other end that will attach to the clip on the end of the tugs towline. Make a couple of spare loops as they do have a habit of getting lost !!!The normal procedure is for you to attach the loop to your release whilst doing your pre flight checks and then when you are ready to go, just hook your loop to the towline and the tug will tow you away.
There will be experienced tug and glider pilots on hand both days to help you.
If you want to discuss anything before the event, please drop me an email to the address on the poster and I will reply with my phone number so we can chat.

Regards

AEB

Look forward to it Pat. Don’t take it too easy as it will need a fuel tanker on site to keep it filled up :-)

Many thanks to all involved in organising and running the weekends Aerotow event at Buckminster!

I had a fantastic day on Saturday, with some great flights and only losing two tow loops.

Cheers

Phill

Has anyone got any pictures of the weekend ? As those who attended know I was rather busy on Sat and to busy flying on Sun to take any !!!

Thanks to all who attended to make it a great weekend.

AEB

P.S.. Trailer was picked up this morning and is on its way to be repaired. A huge thank you to Bernie Jones (Jeti UK) for helping to get my models home.

Thanks for the pictures and videos.
Phil, in your pictures it does not look like there were many attendees but on Sat we had 18 pilots registered and on Sunday, 25 pilots.
Thanks to everyone who made the meeting a success. Roll on the next one at Buckminster on 3/4 September.

The next Ghost Squadron Aerotow is comming up soon at Buckminster. All are welcome. No need to pre enter but if you wish to camp, please confirm direct with BMFA Buckminster.
For those of you with pre WW2 vintage gliders you may also be interested in an event taking place on the Friday before the aerotow. It is a Golden Era Tea Party open to any scale model of the Golden Era (between the wars). Gliders will be welcome alongside powered models, free flight, control line and R/C are all welcome.

See poster.
