Hello,
After watching on YouTube some videos i've decided to build the Pichler Swallow 2 glider as a 2ch RC bird. I understand that it is a repop of the WestWings Swallow glider. Anyway, this will be my first flying thing.
While i am setting up my work bench, i have a few general and specific questions:
- is the indicated C.G. location correct on the plans (in general and for 2ch RC)?
- if i build a second set of wings with a bigger span (around 120 cm, just extending the outline of the original wings), how would this affect the designed characteristics, C.G. location and so on?
- would there be a problem if i cover it in tissue paper instead of plastic film? I know that the plastic film is much more durable but it would be an extra investment.
- do i have to add a BEC to the RC system?
- what is the dihedral angle? there is none indicated on the plans.
- should i add washout at the tips? and if yes, how much? again, there is no indication on the plans.
Many thanks, Eduard.
