New model in the pipeline from Jilles for next year. Can anyone other than Vince and Jilles name this glider?

Good quiz . . . my first thought Racik 3 but wrong tail.
King Kite without struts, nah, no pylon and wrong elevator shape.

So my guess is a Minimoa fuse with King Kite wings. :? :? :?

Is that spelling right? Auntie google doesn't reckognise it. I did consider the Goppingen Gö4 but the width of the canopy didn't look wide enough for a 'side by side' two seater.

So, spelling is everything it seems to Google.
Never heard of this glider so more info please.

The glider beneath the Zeppelin is I believe the Prasident.
What span is the Gottingen IV going to be ?

Didn't spot the dimension - many thanks.
Too big for my hill and too heavy for my back sadly !
Out of curiosity, have you found any photos of the instrument panel and cockpit interior ?

For late 2022 or early 2023, I am building a Scheibe SF33, with some minor mods to all hassle free grass take-offs.
Larger wheel, moved forward and slightly lower , as proved by Nigel Bentley-Beard on his SF33.

Waiting on delivery of a 3m RRG Storch V motorglider kit, which I hope will go together without much hassle. This will need a dolly for take-offs, having seen what a pusher prop did to a friends finger .

I have just started a 16th, I think, H101 Salto from a Wilfried Klinger plan. It should be interesting as the detail on the plan is in German.

Also where the wing goes from full depth to the ailerons the ribs shown still go right up the the trailing edge. Not a lot to do on the fuz as it's GRP, epoxy I think? I just hope it doesn't take as long as my Habicht or I will be close to getting my telegram from our new King

Edit : - That should have read 1/6th scale. I was just re reading the thread and noticed the VERY small model!

Looking good! You're well ahead of me - better slow down or you'll have to be transferred to the 2022 thread!

Rob ain't the only one that may have to be transferred to 2022 ! All I have to do with the Salto, which I have edited to read 1/6th and not 16th scale, is to spray the fuz and stick on the decals and chuck it off a hill.

But then I can get cracking with my Phil Scaife's 1/5th scale Slingsby T-31. About time too as I've had the plan, RM125, and bits for about 20 years and now I have the March 1974 Radio Modeller with a little detail in it, so it's time I got my finger out!

I have just started cutting wood to make a part-kit for an ASW 17 to 1/5 scale. This will hopefully join my growing fleet of 1/5 scale model which I can still carry up hills. I purchased a Mike Trew plan to give me a starting point but quickly found that the construction was way back in the 1980s. However, I will be using his basic outlines and I have totally re-designed the structure. I have also designed a completely new wing structure using an HQ3.5/14 wing profile which should bring the performance more up to date.
I am not planning to do a build log for this one as it is going to be strung out over the whole year rather than a few months. However, I may post a few photos of progress every now and then. With a bit of luck it may be finished in 2023.

Thanks for that Chris. I think it is all down to advancing years and the climb to my local slope site getting longer and steeper. However going down to 1/5 scale is not so easy as my fingers are rapidly turning into sausages.

Well, at times it looked doubtful whether it would indeed take to the air in 2023, but I’m pleased and relieved to report that my Topaze is at last finished and flown. Full details here

That looks lovely Chris, I look forward to seeing it covered and in paint. It should fly very well, I know that the 1/4 scale version I built many years ago was a "big pussycat" and ended up as a club trainer.

For what it's worth, I agree with Cliff. It's a semi modern shape fuselage with bolt on the top wings making it easier to build I would imagine. Plus more stable due to high wing. Probably a good first time scale glider build.
Plus I personally like the Pirat anyway 🙂

Go for it Chris! As I said earlier it is a good stable design and flies like a pussy cat. It would make a great first scale glider.
