1:3.5 Chris Williams SF27 Topaze
New member here. I’m currently building a 1:3.5 scale Topaze from a Chris Williams design. I bought a short kit from Sarik Models and have just about finished the fuselage and tail. I have attached a few photos from my progress so far. I will be fitting an electric motor and folding prop

Re: 1:3.5 Chris Williams Topaze
Hi Stefan. I’ve just completed my CW Topaze - 1:3 5 metre. I started late 2021, but all parts cut from scratch. Flying got in the way for a large part of 2022 so I was determined to complete it this Winter. I’ve covered it initially in Hobby King translucent as per CW. Instead of spraying the colour on I’ve used sign writing vinyl which has produced a nice finish. I am just making some wing bags using radiator foil backed polystyrene and then I hope to maiden at the next White Sheet scale day on 23rd April. I also plan to be at the Firs Farm aerotows. I will try and post a photo when I get the chance. Richard

Slow progress over the last few months as life gets in the way, but I got the wings finished and covered. All the electronics are now in and tested and canopy fitted. Last push needed now to cover and paint the fuselage, and I need to make a nose cone. I’m still hoping to maiden this summer but autumn is looking more realistic.
