Re: FLYING WITH THE PREFECT
Wow. Slingsby Perfect, more like
A lovely looking model and it seems to handle beautifully. Who knew that the HQ sections worked so well at such low Reynolds numbers?
I was also excited to see the Kite make a cameo at the end. Looking forward to seeing more of it. You can’t have too many Slingsbys.

Re: FLYING WITH THE PREFECT
That looks a bit good Chris, I could definitely handle a nice little flier like that! It has the benefit of not requiring a bent building board like some of your more recent models. Very, Very Nice!

Re: FLYING WITH THE PREFECT
Hi, can´t wait to have the plans on my building board, when is it going to be published? And how will get the RCME issues? Do the deliver to Germany?
Cheers, Franz

Apparently, the Prefect plan is to be published in the June & August issues of RCM&E. You should be able to get the magazine from here:

Re: FLYING WITH THE PREFECT
Hi and good evening,
finally managed the maiden flight today. Perfect weather, still a bit cold. No problem with electric. Some details still missing.
Flew right out of the hand. COG well forward, could be moved back a little in my opinion. Incidence about 2°. And typically turns have to be assisted with rudder. Could not try a slightly lighter accu (3S 3000mAH, 250 Gramm), this would have helped the COG issue.
Total weight 1600 Gramm, as planned. Matching pilot arriced just a few minutes too late for first flight.
Cheers, Franz
