OK so after a couple of very dark cloudy rain filled days I've made some more progress.
Assembled the rear fusealarge using spruce stiffeners, no cyno here just good old wood glue and clamped down, leave overnight.

Tail feathers, installed servos, battery/lypo up front, add a couple of joy sticks for fun, paint cockpit, oh and make up the shelf slots in the instrument panel.

The plan shows a full balsa skid however I prefer the suspension mounted skid so deceided to make one.

Dam run out of plywood will need to visit the model shop.
In the meantime decided to cover tail feathers, looks good
Elevator:
The plan elevator control linkage is quite poor both the printed unit and the design so I've opted for my own adaptation using a 4mm carbon rod direct onto the rear control horn for the elevator, woks fine

I think the concept is so that the rear stabliser can easily be removed, that said I'm not confident in this setup especially when it's the elevator, loos control and its only going to go one way !
I've opted for direct control linkage and create an access hatch from the rear underside of the fusealarge tail so the control link can be disengaged befirvremoving the rear stabliser although I'll probably never do this as its small enough to get in the car so personal choice prevails.

Rear supports:
Unlike the main wing supports there's not a lot going on here with regards to "loading" so I've simply solderd some brass tube up.which slides inside the K&S profiled tubes and held in with epoxy.

This linkage is used very successfully on bigger models. But everyone does things differently. Fusealarge plywood:
First install the bottom rear section followed by 2 separate front sections where the profile changes at the centre line.
Note the direction of grain as this allows the plywood to bed easier in the one direction.
Tip
Make pin holes through the plywood along the former lines and drop small amount of cyno on the holes while holding the plywood against the former and you'll get an instant bond then move to the next former moving from the rear to the front.
I also used wood glue spaced out on the formers befor laying down the plywood this will provide a durable bond while the cyno is used to hold everything in place.

Wing brackets using the brass strip as recommended in the plan mark out and cut 4 x wing support brackets.
Tip: befor drilling out the holes check the alignment against the plywood webbing former W1, I used this to locate hole centres mark and drill holes as this will ensure the correct fit when it comes to install.
As with all builds I find that I can put a lot of hours work and make very little progress however doing these jobs now will reep rewards later in the build when it comes to assembling.
