The canopy/hatch will be retained with 6 x 3mm magnets. The canopy aperture is formed with lamination of 0.8mm ply. Pilot holes are drilled for the magnets with bits of increasing diameter, each previous size holding the frame in place as the next hole is drilled...

A bit of a pilot-ectomy required before a proper fit is obtained. Good ol' Barry @ Sarik came up with an Oly 2b canopy, which is a pretty good fit...

A thin strip of ply is glued to the interior of the aperture to give the canopy some glueing area. Then the canopy itself is trimmed down to a good fit

Once the sub-spars have been added, it's essential to clamp a straight edge to the aileron spar when marking out and glueing in place the lower sheeting...

As usual, once the lower sheeting has been added, the wing is placed on its jigging supports and the top sheeting added, thus locking it into its final shape...

Having fitted the sub rib & lower sheeting, now it's the tricky business if lining up the outer and inner wing panels. It's best to leave the incidence rod to last to allow for minor adjustments...

Time to face off the wing roots and add the wing's centre fairing with the canopy...
The fairing is sealed with thin CA and smoothed out with body filler...
