If you need any specific Swallow shots just ask as I will be working on one in the next couple of weeks. Hoping to get it flying for the first time in quite a while.

Gordon

Re: Swallow seat
Is that not what was designated the Swift? Different canopy to the earlier Swallows. if memory serves me correctly it was later Swallows that used the Dart canopy and was designated "Swift"
early canopy

Re: Swallow seat
'CAX' is definitely a swallow. The 'Dart' canopy was 'as standard' on later production Swallows and has also been retrofitted to many of the surviving earlier Swallows.

Re: Swallow seat
Hmm. I thought that when the canopy was changed, they changed the name to Swift.

Re: Swallow seat
As on all production aircraft there are lots of details that are changed during the run.
Notably on Swallows
Rudder pedals, early ones are bottom hinged, later changed to top hinged and adjustable
Trim levers ..I have seen three types fitted so far. As in the above image seems common but also sometimes mounted much higher up. I have also seen one example with a K-13 type assembly also mounted higher up.
Trim tabs, most seem to have one but one of the examples at the VGC 50th bash also sported a second tab on the other side set up as an anti-servo tab.
Canopy lock, those that started life with the small bubble canopy have one style where as later (dart canopy) version have a different set up.
Air brake handle either as just about visible in the image a couple of post up from this or as below
