Now for the outer wing panels...the brass box is quite a tight fit, so a different way of fitting was required. 2mm sq spruce strips were glued to the top and bottom of the brass, and one side closed off with 2.4mm balsa. The unit was then tapered to follow the taper of the wing and then epoxied into the wing and closed off either side with 1.5mm ply web plates...

Setting up the incidence peg for the outer panels is a critical step: The TE's are clamped together whilst the brass tube is pushed into the opposite wing root to establish the eventual position of the brass tube..

Attention now moves to the ailerons, which can be quite quickly assembled with CA...

The DS939 servos are a tight fit in the wing, so the lugs have to be removed and the servo epoxied to a ply plate...
