Sherlowe 2024 dates

Unfortunately it has not been possible to move the Sherlowe aero tow dates on May 18/19.
This is due to other events, bank holiday weekends and a full size fly in at the airfield.

Both aero tows are on opposite sides of the country and largely attract different groups people, so there should only be a couple who are affected who would have gone to both events.
Also, a number of folk have already booked accommodation like Chris Veitch as noted above.

Just type Sherlowe Airfield in Google Maps. If you end up going, use Google maps as your sat nav and Sherlowe Airfield as your destination. Most other sat navs using the post code will take you to the wrong place.

Can you just confirm if the May date is cancelled.

I have read it as cancelled but reading it again I am not sure can you please confirm.

Chris V - I don't know where you have read that it is cancelled, because I have not posted anywhere that it is.

It remains on May 18th & 19th as it always was.

If you read this thread from the beginning, you will see that it was not possible to move the date to de-conflict with John's Buckminster aerotow.

The only thing that will potentially cancel it is if we continue to get rain and the field has not dried out enough for us to drive on and park our cars, vans, caravans etc. That will be a weather call a couple of days beforehand.

A GPS Glider event has already been cancelled there 3 weeks ago due to the waterlogged state of the ground.
