I was fortunately lucky enough to get hold
Of Robin’s PROST (I actually got three models, two complete and one very damaged model and a brand new fuse).
One model (the most complete) was ripe for restoration.
I will detail the work done here.
Cheers.

The fuselage was showing its age. The ply keel was well used and featured lots of
Temporary repairs and bodges that were done to keep the model In the air.

The keel was pretty shoddy after removal
Of the years of bodges.
So I laminated it in glass and carbon cloth.
I added some white appliance gloss white to one side as a bit of a personal test. The keel looks nice and fresh now and very strong now it’s glassed. The compression method of glassing is pretty decent.

Re: Robin Slight - Prost restoration.
I was lucky enough to get the scheme for building the Prost from Robin as well.
Classic John Hall fuzz.
The scheme said foam wings and one of the models did indeed have foam wings, but sadly they were so badly damaged they would never of been able to fly again.
The good wings are fully built up.
More to come on that soon.

Pretty lucky knowing Robin from work and him inviting me over to collect a few models at the end.

More of the ply keel after the old gear was removed and before it was strengthened up by pressing glass/carbon cloth.

Next the control surfaces on the tail.
The actual all moving elevator robin carved out of 1/4 hard balsa was in quite decent condition.
It was glassed for added strength.
I had to scarf in a small section on the trailing edge.
This was pretty easy to do being all balsa.
I then profilmed with matching blue film.
