Sewn hinges

Hi, has anyone a good reference for this technique? I’m struggling to get the hinge not to wobble side to side…

Elliot , The late David Boddington was a fan of using sewn hinges for his sport i.c. and glider models .
If I remember correctly he drilled the wood edges with a small drill ( maybe 1mm diameter ) and using a figure of eight pattern with strong thread the control surface was fitted/ hinged .
If you could find one of the books that David wrote ,there will be a more detailed description with all the measurements to give a wobble free hinge .
Possibly on your model the distance between each loop of thread is to big ?

Thanks chaps, I see where I was going wrong, I was trying to use too few holes and not getting the lines tight enough.
